At approximately 1715hrs, Friday, August 13, 2021, police and EMS were dispatched to Oak Leaf Manor North - 2901 Harrisburg Pk. for a cardiac arrest involving a person outside of the facility. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the female patient, who was subsequently determined to be deceased. The Lancaster County Coroner's Office responded to the scene to investigate as well. The female was identified as an 81-year-old resident of the facility. The matter is still under investigation, and the Coroner's Office will make a final determination on cause and manner of death. At this time however, there is no indication that the death was anything beyond a medical issue. The identity of the deceased is being withheld at this point until notification of next-of-kin is complete.
