At approximately 0735hrs, Thursday, January 22, 2026, police, EMS and fire personnel were dispatched to Rt. 283 East between State Rd. and Rt. 741 for a multi-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, it was determined that the incident was a chain-reaction 4-car crash, and bright sun possibly contributed to driver(s) not being able to see. No occupants were transported to the hospital. Any injury(s) were minor, and treated by EMS at the scene. Rt. 283 East was restricted to (1) lane for approximately (40) minutes while the scene was cleared.
