POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 9/26/23 THRU 10/5/23

VEHICLE THEFT: On 9-26-23 at 0942 hrs, police responded to Utilimaster, 601 Stony Battery Rd, for a vehicle theft that just occurred.  John Michael Crabill (34) of Lancaster, was identified as the suspect in the theft of a black Nissan Pathfinder from the parking lot of the business.  The vehicle was unlocked with the key in the ignition. Crabill was charged with Theft (F3) and a warrant was issued for his arrest.  Total estimated value of loss is unknown at this time.

THEFT: On 9-26-23 police received a theft report that occurred between 1515 hrs and 1715 hrs at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.  An iPhone 12 and a Nike hooded sweatshirt were taken from a locker in the Field House’s Junior High locker room.  Total estimated value of loss $970.00.

BURGLARY: On 9-27-23 police received a burglary report that occurred in the 3700 block of Little Mac Dr.  Sometime between 1715 hrs and 2000 hrs, actor(s) removed (2) Trek Mountain Bicycles from a residential garage.  Total estimated value of loss $1,300.00.

BURGLARY: On 9-28-23 Dan Quoc Tran (46) of Lancaster was charged with Burglary (F1) and Burglary (F2), stemming from an incident 10-2-22 at Speedway, 1660 Rohrerstown Rd.  Tran allegedly pried open a rear door to make entry and stole cash from within the business.  Total estimated value of loss $400.00.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 9-29-23 at 0811 hrs, police responded to Kindercare Learning Center, 595 Centerville Rd, for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 0800 hrs and 0810 hrs, actor(s) smashed the front driver’s side window and removed a purse from the vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $724.00.  Total estimated value of damage $200.00.

BURGLARY: On 10-2-23 police responded to Purina Mills, 3029 Hempland Rd, for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 9-29-23 at 1500 hrs and 10-1-23 at 0900 hrs, actor(s) gained entry into the facility through a bay door.  The actor(s) proceeded to break the access door to the roof ladder and climb to the roof where three areas were sprayed with graffiti.  Concrete weights were thrown from the roof to the concrete floor below, damaging the floor.  One fire extinguisher was found to be discharged and another damaged with a sledge hammer.  Total estimated value of damage is unknown at this time.

CHILD PORNOGRAPHY: On 10-3-23 John Andrew Dungan (33) of Manheim was charged with (2) counts of Child Pornography (F2) and (1) count of Child Pornography (F3), stemming from an investigation that began 7-11-23 in the 1300 block of Lititz Rd. 

TERRORISTIC THREATS: On 10-3-23 Daniel E Ortiz (22) of Lancaster was charged with Terroristic Threats (M1) and Harassment (M2), stemming from an incident 10-2-23 in the 300 block of Richardson Dr.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

THEFT: On 10-4-23 police responded to Community Aid, 31 Rohrerstown Rd, for a theft report.  Sometime between 9-26-23 at 0100 hrs and 10-4-23 at 1400 hrs, actor(s) removed approximately 386 feet of electrical wiring from two trailers in the parking lot.  Total estimated value of loss $235.00.

RETAIL THEFT: On 10-4-23 police responded to Sheetz, 3101 Columbia Ave, for a retail theft report.  At approximately 1013 hrs a male is captured on video surveillance ringing up multiple food items at a self-checkout register.  He exits the store with the items without entering a form of payment.  Total estimated value of loss $47.93.

VEHICLE THEFT: On 10-4-23 police responded to U-Haul, 5456 Main St, for a vehicle theft report.  At approximately 0525 hrs an unidentified male drove into the lot in a Ford U-Haul Cargo Van, which was stolen from Frazer, PA on 10-3-23.  The suspect parked the van in the return line and gained access to a to a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado.  He entered the truck and drove it from the lot.  Total estimated value of loss $45,000.00.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: On 10-4-23 at 0021 hrs, police responded to the 500 block of Estelle Dr for a disturbance.  Following investigation, Albert Ortiz (60) of Lancaster was cited with Public Drunkenness (S) and Disorderly Conduct (S).

THEFT BY DECEPTION: On 10-5-23 Joseph William Farber (57) of York was charged with Theft by Deception (F3), stemming from an incident 9-13-23 at Citizens & Northern Bank, 2098 Spring Valley Rd.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

THEFT BY DECEPTION: On 10-5-23 Ashley R Lewis (42) of Mount Joy was charged with Theft by Deception (M1), stemming from several incidents that occurred between 5-29-23 and 7-13-23 at Beauty Unveiled, 2217 Dutch Gold Dr.  A warrant was issued for her arrest.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 10-5-23 at 1702 hrs, police responded to the 1600 block of Columbia Ave for a two-vehicle crash.  Following investigation, Jeffrey James Crumling (52) of York was charged with (2) counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M) and a summary traffic violation.
