POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 9/16/22 THRU 9/25/22

VEHICLE THEFT: On 9-16-22 at 0407 hrs, police responded to the 2200 block of Marietta Ave to make contact with a resident whose vehicle was involved in a crash and abandoned at the scene.  The vehicle owner was unaware his car was taken from the residence and subsequently reported it as stolen.

TERRORISTIC THREATS: On 9-16-22 a 16-year-old male of Lancaster was charged with Terroristic Threats (M1); Simple Assault (M2); and Criminal Mischief (M3) stemming from an incident on Swarr Run Rd. on 9-15-22.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 9-18-22 police received 2 theft from vehicle reports in the 100 block of Penningdon Dr.  Sometime between 9-17-22 at 2300 hrs and 9-18-22 at 1035 hrs, actor(s) entered unlocked vehicles at 2 separate residences.  The vehicles were rummaged through, but nothing was taken.

POSSESS WEAPON ON SCHOOL PROPERTY: On 9-19-22 a 17-year-old male student of Mountville was charged with Possess Weapon on School Property (M1), stemming from an incident 9-13-22 at the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center, 101 Champ Blvd.

TERRORISTIC THREATS: On 9-20-22 at 1517 hrs, police responded to the first block of Tenby Way for a domestic in progress.  Following investigation, Ahlam M Mohammed (28) of Lancaster was taken into custody and charged with Terroristic Threats-Domestic Violence (M1) and Simple Assault-Domestic Violence (M2).  Mohammed was transported to Lancaster County Prison and remanded, unable to post bail.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 9-21-22 police conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Columbia Ave.  The driver, Amanda Babcock (43) of Lancaster, was found to have a warrant through Chester County.  Babcock was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

STRANGULATION: On 9-22-22 Frederick E. Hoak Jr. (57) was charged with Strangulation (F2) and Simple Assault (M2) stemming from an incident at a residence on Elizabeth St. in Landisville. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

RETAIL THEFT: On 9-24-22 police responded to the Giant Food Store, 550 Centerville Rd, for a retail theft report.  On 9-16-22 between 1445 hrs and 1452 hrs, 2 females were captured on video surveillance entering the Medication Aisle and taking a large number of medications from the shelves and placing them on their persons and in their shoulder bags.  The females walked out of the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $1,032.07.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 9-24-22 police responded to the 1500 block of Nissley Rd for a vandalism report.  Sometime between 9-23-22 at 2230 hrs and 9-24-22 at 0830 hrs, actor(s) smashed and removed a mailbox from its post.  Total estimated value of loss $25.00.

RETAIL THEFT: On 9-25-22 at 0411 hrs, police responded to Turkey Hill, 1503 Columbia Ave, for a retail theft that just occurred.  Upon arrival, the suspect was no longer on scene, but video surveillance captured the following: at 0401 hrs a male entered the store, pocketed 2 bags of candy then proceeded to eat a hot dog and a hoagie inside the store and remove an energy drink from a cooler.  The male was confronted by an employee and after a brief conversation, the male exits out the side door.  Total estimated value of loss is unknown at this time.
