POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 9/11/24 THRU 9/25/24

RETAIL THEFT: On 9-13-24 at 0845 hrs, police responded to Dollar Tree, 165 Rohrerstown Rd, for a retail theft in progress.  A female was observed placing pet related items in her bag and leaving the store without making payment.  The female, Katlynn Kearney (31) of Lebanon, was located moments later in the 2100 block of Embassy Dr and was found to have multiple pet food items and ladies’ socks in her bag. Kearney was charged with Retail Theft (S).  Total estimated value of loss $24.00.

RESISTING ARREST: On 9-13-24 at 1641 hrs, police were dispatched for a male panhandling in the area of LG Health Urgent Care, 2118 Spring Valley Rd.  While enroute, police were advised the male is to be Shane Robert McCracken (42) of Lancaster who has a warrant through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.  Upon arrival, the officers confirmed the male’s identity to be McCracken and as officers approached the male, he ran into a wooded area dense with brush.  McCracken was eventually located and taken into custody. He was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot (M2) and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

HARASSMENT: On 9-13-24 at 2333 hrs, police responded to the 1500 block of Swarr Run Rd for a disturbance.  Following investigation, Alexander Polanco-Lopez (21) of Columbia was charged with Harassment (S).

RETAIL THEFT: On 9-14-24 police responded to Sheetz, 2149 State Rd, for a retail theft that just occurred.  An unidentified male entered the beer cooler and removed (2) 12 packs of Corona Extra beer and exited the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $39.98.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 9-14-24 police conducted a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Marietta Ave.  The driver, a 17-year-old male of Lancaster, was charged with Possession of Marijuana (M), Use/Possess drug Paraphernalia (M) and a summary traffic violation.

HARASSMENT: On 9-14-24 Laura E Desranleau (43) of Hackettstown, NJ was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from multiple incidents in the first block of Welsh Dr between 9-9-24 and 9-14-24.

ACCESS DEVICE FRAUD: On 9-15-24 police responded to CVS, 301-D Main St, for a report of a skimmer device found on the Santander Bank ATM machine.  Sometime between 9-9-24 and 9-14-24, actor(s) placed a thin metal device in the card reader slot of the ATM machine.  It was discovered 9-14-24 when a customer attempted to make a withdrawal and received a receipt the withdrawal was made, but did not receive the cash.  Total estimated value of loss $100.00.

THEFT: On 9-16-24 Gregory Clyde Bayman (68) of Marietta was charged with Theft (M1), stemming from an incident 9-10-24 at Root’s Country Market & Auction, 705 Graystone Rd.  Bayman was observed taking a 96-gallon trashcan, belonging to Root’s, from the parking lot and placing it in the bed of his truck.  Total estimated value of loss $200.00.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

RETAIL THEFT: On 9-18-24 police responded to Lowe’s, 25 Rohrerstown Rd, for a retail theft that occurred 9-14-24.  An unidentified male removed a ductless mini split air conditioner on a flat cart and walked out of the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $2,156.00.

FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION OF OLDER ADULT: On 9-19-24 Michael K Reinhart (52) of New Providence was charged with Financial Exploitation of Older Adult (F2) and Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition of Funds Received (F2).  Reinhart was the Power of Attorney for someone residing in a retirement community from January 2016 through December 2021.  During this period of time Reinhart allegedly used the victim’s assets for personal items and the not the care of the victim.
