POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 8/5/22 THRU 8/15/22

RETAIL THEFT: On 8-5-22 police responded to Lowes, 25 Rohrerstown Rd, for 2 retail theft reports. On 7-25-22 a male is captured on video surveillance paying cash for a 17-inch gas string trimmer.  The male takes the purchased trimmer to a vehicle in the parking lot.  He re-enters the store, takes an identical trimmer from the shelf to customer service along with his receipt and receives cash back.  He then takes another trimmer from the shelf and leaves the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $458.00.  On 7-27-22 the same male is captured on video surveillance paying cash for a Craftsman Tradestack System Tower and a Dewalt Quiet Vac.  The male takes the purchase to a vehicle in the parking lot.  He re-enters the store, takes the same items from the shelf to customer service along with his receipt and receives cash back.  Total estimated value of loss $338.00.  The suspect was required to produce photo identification to return the products and was identified as Stephen Bowen III (45) of Lancaster.  On 8-8-22 Bowen was charged with Retail Theft (M1) and 2 counts of Theft by Deception (M1). 

WARRANT SERVICE: On 8-7-22 at 0454 hrs, police encountered Sean Coleman (40) of Lancaster, in the 2300 block of Columbia Ave. Coleman was found to have warrants through the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department.  Coleman was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 8-8-22 Lee Wayne Jackson (74) of Lancaster was charged with Theft from Vehicle (M2), stemming from an incident 8-1-22 in the 100 block of Running Pump Rd.  Jackson is alleged to have removed three bottles of liquor from a vehicle.

ACCIDENT INVOLVING DAMAGE TO ATTENDED VEHICLE: On 8-8-22 William Westbrook IV (25) of Reading was charged with Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle (M3) and a summary traffic violation, stemming from a 2-vehicle accident on Centerville Rd in the area of Industry Dr on 8-5-22.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 8-9-22 at 2326 hrs police located an unoccupied vehicle in the roadway of the 2000 block of Harrisburg Pk that appeared to have been in an accident.  A short time later a male was found walking in the area and was identified as Anthony Bland (29) of Mount Joy.  Bland had blood on him, was in an extremely agitated state and appeared to be under the influence. Bland became combative, but was ultimately transported by ambulance to the hospital to be checked for injuries from the crash.  As a result, Bland was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S) and Public Drunkenness (S).

HARASSMENT: On 8-10-22 Christian Vera Bouie (31) of Lancaster was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 8-5-22 at Candlewood Suites, 100 South Tree Dr.

HARASSMENT: On 8-11-22 Tara Richards (51) of Roxboro, NC was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 8-9-22 in the 1000 block of Ladderback Dr.

RETAIL THEFT: On 8-11-22 police responded to Sheetz, 2149 State Rd, for a retail theft not in progress.  At 1005 hrs this date, a male took a 4 Loko, Twisted Tea and Klondike bar and walked out of the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $7.37.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE: On 8-12-22 Samantha D. Antrim (28) of Norristown was charged with Unauthorized Use of Vehicle (M-2). The charges were the result of a report that was filed on 5-31-22, in which the victim reported that Antrim had not returned his 2013 Nissan Rogue after taking it from 2929 Hempland Rd on 5-17-22.

THEFT: On 8-13-22 police responded to the Hempfield Recreation Center, 950 Church St, for a stolen bicycle.  Sometime between 1500 hrs and 1700 hrs this date, actor(s) removed a Huffy Mountain bicycle from the bicycle rack.  Total estimated value of loss $150.00.

THEFT: On 8-13-22 police received a theft report in the 1900 block of Columbia Ave.  Sometime between 8-12-22 at 1400 hrs and 8-13-22 at 1700 hrs, actor(s) removed an Xbox One S with controller from a residence.  Total estimated value of loss $1,239.36.

WARRANT SERVICE: On 8-14-22 police conducted a check on the welfare at Turkey Hill, 23 Centerville Rd.  As a result, Hung Lam (57) of Harrisburg was found to have a warrant through Lancaster City Police Bureau.  Lam was taken into custody and turned over to Lancaster City Police.

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS: On 8-15-22 Samuel Edel (75) of Gambrills, MD was cited with Cruelty to Animals (S), stemming from an incident 8-9-22 at Root’s Country Market & Auction, 705 Graystone Rd.

ACCESS DEVICE FRAUD: On 8-15-22 Rafael Mejia-Sanchez (24) of Yonkers, NY was charged with Access Device Fraud (F3), stemming from a fraud reported 7-15-22 in the 200 block of Elizabeth St.  Mejia-Sanchez is alleged to have intercepted a check and changed the payee’s name to his and then deposited the check into his own account.
