SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 8-18-22 Angel G Ramos-Ocasio (29) of Lancaster was charged with Simple Assault (M2) and Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 8-14-22 in the 400 block of Caroline Ct.
THEFT: On 8-19-22 police responded to the 900 block of Church St for a theft report. Between January 2022 and August 2022, a US States quarter collection, gold Pulsar watch and cash was taken from a residence. Total estimated value of loss $2,672.50.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 8-20-22 at 1343 hrs, police responded to the ramp from Centerville Rd onto Route 30 eastbound for an accident with a pickup truck on its roof. Following investigation, Owen Bryce Korich (21) of Lancaster was charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol-2nd Offense (M) and a summary traffic violation.
FALSE IDENTIFICATION TO LAW ENFORCEMENT: On 8-22-22 at 0222 hrs, police observed a pickup truck parked in the McDonalds parking lot at 1755 Columbia Ave. Police approached the pickup and asked the occupant to identify himself. The occupant provided false names and dates of birth multiple times before he was identified as Marcial Matute-Briones (45) of Mountville. Matute-Briones was found to have a warrant through Manheim Borough Police Department. Matute-Briones was taken into custody, charged with False Identification to Law Enforcement (M3) and turned over to Manheim Borough Police Department.
THEFT: On 8-22-22 police responded to Traditions of America, 816 Founders way, for a theft report. At 0545 hrs, the site manager observed a male loading lumber onto a landscaping trailer attached to a white truck and thought it was a construction worker for the site. It was later determined that the male was not one of the construction workers and that he was stealing the lumber. Total estimated value of loss $200.30.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 8-23-22 police responded to the 800 block of Sylvan Rd for a theft from vehicle report. Following investigation, it was learned that 3 vehicles were entered in the 800 block of Springton Way between 0400 hrs and 0430 hrs. Video surveillance captured a male with a ski mask enter two unlocked vehicles and then smash a window with a paver to enter a locked vehicle. Total estimated value of loss $205.00. Total estimated value of damage $200.00. Video surveillance puts the same actor in the 500 block and 600 block of Springton Way between 0340 hrs and 0400 hrs, where 3 vehicles were entered and rummaged through, but nothing was taken.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 8-23-22 police received a theft from vehicle report in the parking lot of Dollar General, 3515 Columbia Ave. Between 0730 hrs to 1600 hrs on 8-18-22, actor(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and removed two JBL speakers. Total estimated value of loss is unknown at this time.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 8-23-22 police received a road rage complaint that occurred on Route 30 eastbound in the area of Rohrerstown Rd at 1700 hrs. Two individuals entered into an exchange where a penny was thrown from one vehicle at the other causing a very minor scratch. Unknown value of damage at this time.
THEFT OF VEHICLE PARTS: On 8-23-22 police received a theft of vehicle parts report from Edible Arrangements, 103 Rohrerstown Rd. Sometime between 8-20-22 at 1700 hrs and 8-22-22 at 0900 hrs, actor(s) removed a catalytic converter and several O2 sensors from a work van. Total estimated value of loss $6,300.00.
THEFT: On 8-23-22 police responded to the 1400 block of Windemere Ln for a theft report. A package delivery was signed for and taken by an unknown actor from a residence. Total estimated value of loss $114.44.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 8-24-22 police responded to the 700 block of Church St for a vandalism report. Sometime between 0700 hrs and 1000 hrs, actor(s) split and uprooted a mailbox post. Unknown value of damage at this time.
ESCAPE: On 8-25-22 at 0016 hrs police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Colonial Crest Dr. As the occupants were being identified, the front passenger side occupant exited the vehicle and ran. There was a foot pursuit that concluded with Jose Angel Acosta (24) of Reading being taken into custody. Acosta identified himself multiple times with a false name and was subsequently charged with Escape (M2), False Identification to Law Enforcement (M3) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (M) and was transported to Lancaster County Prison.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 8-25-22 police received a vandalism report from a representative of the Amos Herr Dream Park, 1700 Nissley Rd. Sometime between 8-24-22 at 1500 hrs and 8-25-22 at 0645 hrs, actor(s) burnt the top of a picnic table. Total estimated value of damage $300.00.
THEFT: On 8-25-22 police responded to the 600 block of Foxglove Pl for a theft report. Sometime between August 2018 and May 2022, actor(s) removed a woven 14k gold bracelet from a residence. Total estimated value of loss $1,262.00.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 8-26-22 police responded to the 3000 block of Todd Ln for a theft from vehicle report. Sometime between 8-25-22 at 1600 hrs and 8-26-22 at 0815 hrs, actor(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and rummaged through it. Nothing was found to be taken.
THEFT: On 8-28-22 police responded to the 1300 block of Landisville Rd for a theft report. Sometime between 0130 hrs and 0145 hrs, actor(s) removed the light fixture from a lamp post in the front of a residence. Unknown value of loss and damage at this time.
THEFT: On 8-29-22 police received a theft report in the 900 block of Lindsay Ln. Sometime between 8-1-22 and 8-29-22, actor(s) removed a TAG Heuer watch and coins from jars. Total estimated value of loss $2,750.00.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 8-29-22 Douglas Rupp (79) of Landisville was charged with Criminal Mischief (M2), stemming from an incident 6-14-22 in the 2700 block of Marietta Ave.
