POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 5/22/26 THRU 6/1/26

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 5-22-26 Walter Reed Smith (37) of Mountville was charged with (2) counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M), Accident Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle (M3) and a summary traffic violation, stemming from a two vehicle crash 5-19-26 at 1104 hrs in the 300 block of Centerville Rd. 

RETAIL THEFT: On 5-23-26 Julio Cesar Moreno Mellqui (38) of Lancaster was charged with (7) counts of Retail Theft (S), stemming from incidents at three Sheetz locations, 2149 State Rd, 1655 Rohrerstown Rd and 3101 Columbia Ave between 3/18/25 and 4/25/25.  Moreno Mellqui allegedly used the self-check out to scan his purchases and, on each occasion, neglected to scan all the items he selected.  Total estimated value of loss $56.93.

DEFIANT TRESPASS: On 5-24-26 at 0036 hrs, police responded to Sheetz, 3101 Columbia Ave, for a trespass in progress.  Following investigation, Hung X Lam (61) of Harrisburg was cited with Defiant Criminal Trespass (S).

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 5-25-26 at 1339 hrs, police conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of State Rd.  Following investigation, Laneicia A Meyer (54) of Lancaster was charged with (2) counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M) and several summary traffic violations.

FLEEING OR ATTEMPTING TO ELUDE OFFICER: On 5-26-26 a 16-year-old male of Mount Joy was charged with (2) counts of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer (M2) and (6) summary traffic violations, stemming from an incident 5-9-26 at 1949 hrs on Rohrerstown Rd at the intersection with Spring Valley Rd.  The juvenile, while riding on an E-bike, was directed by an officer to pull over.  The juvenile disregarded the officer and continued riding away from the officer at a high rate of speed and out of sight.  A second officer located the juvenile ten minutes later activated his emergency lights and sirens and the juvenile fled again at a high rate of speed into a yard and through a creek.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 5-27-26 at 0915 hrs, police responded to the 1800 block of Hidden Ln for a theft report.  Sometime between 5-26-26 at 0900 hrs and 5-27-26 at 0800 hrs, actor(S) took the catalytic converter from a vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss is unknown at this time.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 5-28-26 at 1053 hrs police responded to the 1800 block of Angelica Dr for a theft report.  Sometime between 5-26-26 at 2130 hrs and 5-27-26 at 0800 hrs, actor(s) removed the catalytic converter from a vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $2,000.00.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 5-28-26 at 1638 HRS, police responded to America’s Auto Auction, 1040 Commercial Ave, for a theft report.  Sometime between 5-26-26 at 2100 hrs and 5-28-26 at 1500 hrs, actor(s) used tools on the driver’s side door of a van to gain entry and remove multiple totes and bags containing hats, pocket books, belts and other miscellaneous merchandise.  Total estimated value of loss $50,000.00.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE: On 5-28-26 at 2234 hrs, police conducted a traffic stop at Wawa, 1990 Miller Rd.  The passenger, Shawn H Roberts (55) of Landisville was found to have a warrant through Carroll County, MD.  Roberts was taken into custody, Charged with Arrest Prior to Requisition (M2) and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 5-29-26 at 1137 hrs, police responded to the 1100 block of Sunwood Ln for a theft report.  Sometime between 5-26-26 at 2200 hrs and 5-27-26 at 0600 hrs, actor(s) removed the catalytic converter from a vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $1,100.00.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 5-29-26 at 1655 hrs, police responded to the 300 block of Springton Way for a theft report.  Sometime between 0001 hrs and 1000 hrs on 5-27-26, actor(s) removed the catalytic converter from a vehicle.  Total estimated value of loss $950.00.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 6-1-26 Tamera Marie Poole (20) of Marietta was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S) and Criminal Mischief (S), stemming from an incident 5-8-26 at Burger King, 330 Rohrerstown Rd.
