POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 11/18/22 THRU 11/28/22

TERRORISTIC THREATS: On 11-18-22 at 1714 hrs, police responded to the 100 block of Cooper Ave for a domestic that just occurred.  Following investigation, Andre Hester (33) of Columbia was charged with Terroristic Threats-Domestic Violence (M1), Simple Assault-Domestic Violence (M2) and Harassment-Domestic Violence (S).  Hester was located at Friendly’s, 578 Centerville Rd, taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

FIREARM NOT TO BE CARRIED WITHOUT LICENSE:  On 11-20-22 at 1855 hrs, police conducted a traffic stop on Route 283 eastbound just prior to the State Rd exit.  Following investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Marni Bell (39) of Lancaster, was charged with Firearm Not to be Carried w/out License (M1), Possession of Marijuana (M) and multiple summary traffic violations.  Bell was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 11-22-22 a 16-year-old male of Lancaster was charged with Criminal Mischief (M2), stemming from an incident 10-17-22 in the 300 block of Centerville Rd.  The male was being transported to the Youth Intervention Center when he started kicking the vehicle’s rear passenger door panel.  Total estimated value of damage $1,013.00.

HARASSMENT: On 11-22-22 police responded to the 1700 block of Linwood Ave for a disturbance.  Following investigation, Aga Thapaliya (37) of Lancaster was cited with Harassment (S).

RETAIL THEFT: On 11-23-22 at 1433 hrs, police responded to Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill Supermarket, 301 Rohrerstown Rd, for a retail theft that just occurred.  Video surveillance captured a male and two females going through the check-out line together having their grocery items scanned and bagged by the cashier.  They placed the bagged groceries into the cart and added shampoo and aluminum foil, that was not scanned, into the bags.  Total estimated value of loss $21.48. 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 11-24-22 at 0922 hrs, police were on patrol in the 1600 block of Lititz Rd and observed a portable toilet in the Root’s Country Market & Auction parking lot with apparent bullet holes in it.  Following investigation, evidence indicated that a firearm was discharged and struck the portable toilet.  Total estimated value of damage is unknown at this time.

RETAIL THEFT: On 11-26-22 police responded to Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill Supermarket, 301 Rohrerstown Rd, for two retail theft reports.  On 11-7-22 a male was captured on video surveillance placing a box of condoms in his pocket and leaving the store without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $3.19.  On 11-8-22 the same male is captured on video surveillance placing a case of Deer Park water into a cart and leaving without making payment.  Total estimated value of loss $10.79.

THEFT: On 11-28-22 police responded to the 3700 block of Little Mac Dr for a theft report.  Sometime between 8-28-22 and 11/28/22, actor(s) removed the Pennsylvania Registration Plate from a utility trailer parked in a driveway.  Total estimated value of loss $30.00.

THEFT: On 11-28-22 police responded to Lancaster Nissan, 5340 Manheim Pk, for a theft report.  The investigation revealed that at approximately 0315 hrs, unknown actors removed the catalytic converters from three vehicles parked in the lot.  Total estimated value of loss $7,500.00.

STATUTORY SEXUAL ASSAULT: On 11-28-22 East Hempfield Township Police Department in conjunction with West Hempfield Township Police Department charged Jose Diego Roman Jr (37) of Lancaster with 4 counts of Statutory Sexual Assault (suspect 11 yrs older than victim) (F1), 4 counts of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse (person less than 16 yrs old) (F1), Corruption of Minors (F3), Indecent Exposure (M1) and 2 counts of Indecent Assault (person less than 16 yrs old) (M2).  The assaults allegedly occurred in East Hempfield Township and West Hempfield Township between April 2019 and June 2022 starting when the victim was 14 years of age.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 11-28-22 a 17-year-old male student of New Holland was cited with Disorderly Conduct (S), stemming from an incident 11-17-22 at River Rock Academy, 2124 Ambassador Cir.

WEAPON ON SCHOOL PROPERTY: On 11-28-22 a 15-year-old male student of Columbia was charged with Possession of Weapon on School Property (M1) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M), stemming from an incident 11-17-22 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 11-28-22 Mark Anthony Chimelis (39) of Lancaster was charged with Possession of Marijuana (M) and a summary traffic violation, stemming from a traffic stop 11-13-22 on Marietta Ave in the area of Running Pump Rd.

*All persons charged with an offense are presumed innocent*
