The Bucher Elementary Kindergarten class in Manheim Township had a special guest on Wednesday, February 23, 2022!  Former Bucher Bear and 2014 MT graduate, Officer Andrew Snyder with the Columbia Police Department, visited to talk about "what life is like as a police officer."  Students asked questions such as:  Do you have a partner? What happens if someone doesn't have a driver's license? Do you have a taser? Do you wear a badge? Do you ride a motorcycle, a car, or a bike? How can you tell when someone is being bad?

Officer Snyder answered every question and then shared on of his favorite books with the students which had the entire classroom giggling with excitement!  The book was Gomer the Gassy Goat:  A Fart-Filled Tale by Hayley Rose.  Our students enjoy seeing special guests, especially former students, when they return to our buildings!  What made this trip just a little more special was the fact that Officer Snyder is the son of Bucher Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Marilu Garaflo!
