The Columbia Borough Police Department would like to address social media rumors circulating that a person was shot on 7/12/25 in the 600 blk. of Walnut St.  Police did initially respond for a report of a person that had been shot, but after investigating found that the call was falsely reported.  There were no shots were fired, and no one was shot or injured.  EMS on scene did assist Police with treating a person having a mental health crisis.
