On 11/4/20 at approximately 3:15am the Columbia Borough Police Department was dispatched to the 400 block of Manor Street for a report of a robbery.  Upon arrival the officer spoke with the victim who stated that she was walking home from work in the 300 block of South 4th Street near the VFW when she was attacked from behind.  She said that a male punched her in the face from behind and continued to punch her to the ground.  At that time the suspect took the victim's purse and proceeded to run in an unknown direction.  The officer observed that the victim had a laceration on the right side of her face with large amounts of blood and swelling.  Anyone with information as to this crime is encouraged to contact the Columbia Borough Police Department at 717-684-7735 or to text LANCS to 847411.
