On 08-09-26 at approx. 11:45AM the Columbia Borough Police were called to a person struck at the intersection of 3rd St. and Chestnut St. Officers arrived on scene and observed that a Dodge Ram pickup struck three (3) people. All three (3) pedestrians were transported to a local hospital. While still working the scene of the crash the Columbia Borough Police were notified that the two (2) adults, aged 71 and 74 were now deceased. The juvenile female that was with them was flown out to another hospital. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police. The investigation is ongoing and anyone that may have witnessed the crash and hasn't spoken to officers are asked to contact the Columbia Borough Police at 717-684-7735. No other information will be released at this time.
