On 11/27/21 at approximately 11:30am an officer with the Columbia Borough Police Department responded to a call in the 400 block of Union Street (rear) for a report of an attempted burglary.  The victim stated he found the head of a hammer on the ground and the door frame and lock were damaged but access was not gained.  Damage to the door is estimated at $1,000.00.  Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to contact the Columbia Borough Police Department at 717-684-7735 or by texting "LANCS" to 847411.
