On 1/28/22 at approximately 8:50 pm the Columbia Borough Police Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of Walnut Street for a repot of an attempted vehicle break in.  Upon arrival the Officer spoke with the vehicle's owner who stated that his home surveillance system had captured someone at 8:36pm trying to get into his vehicle, a 2006 red Volkswagen Jetta, which was parked to the rear of his property.  The suspect was wearing a light in color hooded sweatshirt with the hood up.  Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to contact the Columbia Borough Police Department at 717-684-7735 or by texting "LANCS" to 847411.
