On September 3, 2026, at approximately 10:35 a.m., Robert B. Thompson V. allegedly committed the offenses of Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct—Hazardous/Physical Offense in the area of North Third Street and Chestnut Street in Columbia, Pennsylvania.

According to the allegation, Thompson was observed yelling obscenities, punching the hood of a vehicle, confronting the driver of a second vehicle in an aggressive manor, reaching inside the vehicle, removing an item, and throwing the item out of the vehicle.

Following the incident, an officer with the Columbia Borough Police Department filed charges against Thompson.

Thompson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
