Erie County District Attorney Elizabeth Hirz is proud to welcome the Erie Police Department’s newest K9 Unit to the team. These specially trained K9s and their dedicated handlers will play a vital role in enhancing public safety across our community.

Each member of the K9 Unit has completed rigorous training in preparation for their duties. We are proud to support this dynamic team as they begin their service.

The K9s will be utilized in a wide range of operations, including community patrol, crowd control, tracking suspects, and detecting firearms, narcotics, and explosives.
