Aaron Thomas (52) of Detroit, Michigan, was convicted of two counts of attempted homicide; two counts of aggravated assault; possession of a firearm with an altered serial number; and several other counts following a week long trial in early January. A jury found that Aaron Thomas fired five shots into a car at the intersection of 13th and Parade during an incident that took place on March 18th, 2025. The jury ultimately found the defendant guilty on 13 total charges. Sentencing is scheduled for February 24, 2026 before the Honorable Judge Peter J. Sala. The case was prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Jeremy Lightner and Assistant District Attorney Sam Bohen.
