After a week-long trial in October before the Honorable Judge John J. Mead, the jury found Torrance Norris guilty of First Degree Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, Firearms without a License and Tampering with Evidence for the ambush killing of the victim, Naim Bayete in March 2023. On December 5, 2025, Judge Mead sentenced Torrance Norris to Life without Parole followed by 4.5-9 years. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles Cantrell, Rob Ferguson and Sam Bohen on behalf of the Commonwealth.
