On June 11, 2026, Stewart Correll (27) was found guilty of Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, and related offenses as a result of an incident that occurred on May 20, 2023. The jury convicted Correll after the Commonwealth presented evidence through text messages that in the late evening hours of May 19, 2023, he provided the victim, Corey Sadzewicz, with two M30 pills that contained fentanyl. Following the verdict, Correll was remanded to the Erie County Prison awaiting sentencing. Sentencing is scheduled for August 10, 2026 at 8:45 AM in front of the Honorable Senior Judge William R. Cunningham. Assistant District Attorneys Nicholas Maskrey and Tayler Moses represented the Commonwealth on behalf of the District Attorney's Office.
