The Erie County District Attorney's Office is joining forces with local organizations to observe Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15, 2026. This important awareness campaign aims to shed light on the often-hidden issue of elder abuse, which affects thousands of seniors in our community.
Elder abuse can take many forms, including physical, emotional, and financial exploitation. It can happen to anyone, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. As a community, it is our responsibility to look out for our elderly neighbors, friends, and family members who may be vulnerable to abuse.
