This weekend marks the final push of an aggressive driving enforcement wave that began on July 6 and concludes on August 16, 2026. The goal of this targeted effort is to reduce the number of aggressive driving-related crashes, injuries, and fatalities on Pennsylvania's roadways.
Law enforcement will be focusing on several key areas, including:
Tailgating
In addition, motorists who exhibit other unsafe behaviors, such as driving too fast for conditions, following too closely, or engaging in other aggressive actions, will also be cited.
This enforcement wave is part of Pennsylvania's Highway Safety Program, made possible through PennDOT's investment of federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
