Just a reminder that Honor Flight Philadelphia will be coming through our area tomorrow evening, Saturday, September 19.

UCPD is proud to participate in this special procession as it travels through Upper Chichester Township on its way to Sts. Simon and Jude Church in West Chester, PA.

A large procession of emergency responders, motorcycles, and other vehicles will be escorting four buses carrying Vietnam Veterans as they return from their Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

The procession is expected to begin at the I-95 Welcome Center at approximately 5:40 PM and will travel north on I-95 before exiting onto Route 452. The route will continue north on 452, turn left onto Route 352 westbound, then left onto Route 3, followed by a quick left onto Cavanaugh Court into the church.

We are honored to be part of this special welcome home for these Vietnam Veterans and look forward to helping give them the recognition and appreciation they deserve. If you live along this route in Upper Chichester, Aston, Middletown, or Edgmont please come out, wave American Flags and help celebrate these heroes!

Please be aware of the procession along the route and allow extra time for travel as traffic may be temporarily impacted.

Welcome home, Veterans!
