🚔 Drive Sober. Arrive Alive.

The Fourth of July is one of the busiest travel holidays of the year—and unfortunately, one of the deadliest due to impaired driving.

If your celebration includes alcohol or any impairing substance:
• Designate a sober driver before you head out.
• Use a rideshare or taxi.
• Stay where you are if you've been drinking.
• Never let an impaired friend get behind the wheel.

One decision can save a life.

🎆 Fireworks Reminder

Consumer fireworks are legal in Pennsylvania for individuals 18 years of age or older, but they may not be used:

• Within 150 feet of an occupied structure.
• While under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.
• On public or private property without the property owner's permission.
• From or within a motor vehicle or building.
• Toward another person, vehicle, or occupied structure.

Reminder: Trainer Borough Ordinance No. 23-783 also prohibits the discharge of consumer fireworks on public streets and sidewalks within the Borough.

🔥 Fireworks Safety Tips

✔ Keep children and pets a safe distance away.
✔ Keep a garden hose or bucket of water nearby.
✔ Never relight a malfunctioning firework.
✔ Soak used fireworks in water before disposing of them.
✔ Be respectful of your neighbors, veterans, and pets who may be sensitive to loud noises.
