UPDATE: Monday afternoon status report weather-related issues
As of 4 p.m., 1,057 PECO customers remain without service in the township.
Also, SEPTA service at the Wallingford station is suspended due to power outages.
Meanwhile:
• Baltimore Pike remains closed in both directions between Turner Road and Grandview Road.
• The traffic light at Possum Hollow and Providence is still out, and the unit block of West Possum Hollow Road remains closed due to a fallen tree across the roadway.
• The traffic light at Brookhaven and Providence is also out, and East Brookhaven Road between Providence and Kershaw remains closed due to a tree down across the roadway.
• Georgetown Road at Devon Lane is closed, with several telephone poles in the street.
Police Chief David Splain reminds residents that PECO has been notified of the issues in the township.
“We are on a waiting list. We cannot do anything involving downed wires until those wires are deactivated and removed,” said Splain. “We will continue to monitor the situation into the evening.”
Michelle Garrity, external affairs manager for PECO, said Monday afternoon that teams will continue to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. She noted some outages may extend into Wednesday.
