Overnight, we experienced multiple thefts from vehicles throughout the township. We also recovered a stolen vehicle and responded to the theft of another vehicle that was stolen from our township.
We want to stress these important reminders once again:
LOCK YOUR VEHICLE DOORS!�DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLE ITEMS IN YOUR VEHICLE!�NEVER LEAVE YOUR KEYS IN YOUR CAR!
These thefts occurred in and around the 7th Ward area of the township. There was also suspicious activity reported overnight in the 4th Ward.
These criminals are mobile and are targeting easy opportunities by stealing vehicles and valuables left inside unlocked cars. Please take the time to make your vehicle and property a hard target. Outdoor lighting, security cameras, and keeping your doors, vehicles, and windows locked can make a significant difference.
As always, call 911 to report anything or anyone suspicious. Our officers are actively patrolling, and we will be increasing residential patrols throughout the township.
