Date: Monday, August 31, 2026: Classes begin for all students across the district, including elementary, middle, and high schools.

Tomorrow is the day!  The first day back of the 2026-2027 school year.  NPPD wishes all students, faculty and staff a great year filled with learning, friends (old and new) and a fresh start!  We remind those on the road about increasing bus, car, bicycle and foot traffic in and around our area!  Our officers WILL be out and about, in and around the schools conducting traffic enforcement, school checks and other safety measures.  

Please, watch for bus stops and children walking or riding bicycles.  

WARNING: ⚠️ WE WILL NOT GIVE “BRAKES” ON VIOLATIONS IN SCHOOL ZONES, AGGRESSIVE DRIVING OR BUS STOP INFRACTIONS!  Let’s keep our kids and yourselves safe by slowing down, keeping alert and following traffic rules and regulations.
