On January 17, 2026, at around 9:40 am, the Lower Paxton Bureau of Police received a report from Dauphin County Communications about a stabbing victim who had arrived at a local hospital. The victim required emergency surgery but is now in stable condition and recovering. Through their investigation, the Lower Paxton Bureau of Police identified Valentino Nortey as the suspect in the stabbing. Nortey was apprehended without incident and taken to the Dauphin County Booking Center. He faces charges of Attempted Homicide, Possession of Instruments of a Crime, and Tampering with Evidence. Following arraignment by MDJ Judy, Nortey was denied bail and is currently being held at the Dauphin County Prison, awaiting his preliminary hearing.
