The City of Harrisburg Bureau of Police is pleased to share its 1st Quarter Report for 2026. To view the report, please visit 2026 HBPD Q1 Report.
This quarter, the Uniform Patrol Division (UPD) responded to 17,141 calls for service- 1,983 fewer than in the 1st quarter in 2025. In collaboration with other agencies, UPD also conducted 3 saturation details aimed at reducing gun violence within the City.
Notably, there was one homicide this quarter, which was quickly solved by the Criminal Investigative Division. Additionally, a homicide from the end of 2025 was also solved this quarter.
In January, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police assisted with security efforts during the PA Farm Show, as well as cleared emergency routes during a snowstorm.
Throughout the quarter, the Group Violence Intervention (GVI) Project Manager delivered presentations on available community resources, positive decision making, and tips for personal safety to students at local schools and Dauphin County Prison.
