On Thursday May 28th, at about 6:30pm, the Harrisburg Police responded to the 2000 block of Derry Street for a report of a juvenile pedestrian that was struck by a motor vehicle. 

Upon the arrival of officers, they immediately began providing medical aid to the juvenile. Officers also made contact with the operator of the motor vehicle. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for advanced medical care, where they later died as a result of their injuries. The Harrisburg Police Traffic Safety Unit responded to the scene and conducted an investigation, which is ongoing at this time.
