On October 17, 2023, Michael McBeth was found GUILTY by a Cumberland County jury of the crimes of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child Less than 16, Aggravated Indecent Assault on a Child Less than 16, and Indecent Assault on a Child Less than 16. The charges stem from reports that McBeth would subject his nieces, who were between the ages of approximately 5 and 14, to inappropriate sexual touching and use of sex toys. At trial, testimony revealed that McBeth would use vibrators and other sex toys on the children on multiple occasions, and would penetrate them with his fingers and foreign objects.
McBeth is scheduled to appear for sentencing on January 23, 2024, before the Honorable Judge Peck. The District Attorney's Office would like to commend Trooper Scott Masci and the Pennsylvania State Police for their hard work on this case. This case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Lauren Perchinski.
