On June 22, 2026, following a jury trial before the Honorable Matthew P. Smith, a Cumberland County jury convicted Paul Stimeling (age 61) of Indecent Assault Without Consent and Obstructing Emergency Services. Judge Smith additionally found Stimeling guilty of Public Drunkenness. The convictions are a result of a March 19, 2025, incident at the R/C Carlisle Commons movie theater. Officers responded to the theater for the report of an unconscious male. When officers arrived, they encountered an intoxicated Stimeling. EMS was called to evaluate Stimeling as a precaution. While attempting to evaluate Stimeling, he began making inappropriate comments to the female advanced EMT. Stimeling then rubbed her thigh to her groin area. Stimeling then made sexual comments as he rubbed the female advanced EMT from her shoulder to her buttocks. The advanced EMT was unable to continue attempting to treat Stimeling and had to leave the ambulance.
Sentencing is scheduled for September 29, 2026.
