On November 29, 2024 at approximately 0825 hours, the Carlisle Police Department responded to a medical assistance call at a residence in the 100 block of Walnut St in the Borough of Carlisle.  The medical event was determined to have been a drug overdose.  The male victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital, and the cause of death was confirmed to be methamphetamine toxicity after an autopsy was performed.  The Carlisle Police completed a death investigation, and identified the suspect as Daniel Bitner.  The above listed charges have been filed against Bitner through Magisterial District Judge Birbeck's Office.
