On December 19th, 2025 the Camp Hill Police Department began investigating a complaint of home improvement fraud that occurred at a residence in the 1700 block of Linewood Drive. The homeowner had paid a contractor $27,140 to do work on his house. The contractor did not do any of the work on the house and did not refund any of the money to the homeowner. During an investigation it was discovered that the funds that the homeowner had paid the contractor were transferred from the contractor's business account to his personal account to dispense for his personal use and not home improvement supply purposes. This resulted in Tyler Smith of  TD Home Renovations in Harrisburg PA being charged with Home Improvement Fraud, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Theft by Failure to Make Disposition of Funds Received.
