On Tuesday August 11th, 2026, at or about 2336 hours a Camp Hill Police officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a summary traffic violation at the intersection of South 34th Street and Chestnut Street. A passenger in the vehicle was determined to have two active arrest warrants. When the officer attempted to take the passenger into custody for the warrants the passenger pulled away and attempted to flee from officers on foot. The wanted passenger was then taken to the ground and eventually taken into custody. This resulted in a 26-year-old male with no fixed address being transported to the Cumberland County Prison and charged with Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot, and Resisting Arrest.
