The Bloomsburg Police Department is now hiring for 4 police officer positions:

- 2 paid sponsorship positions for individuals seeking their Act 120 certification

- 2 positions for individuals that are Act 120 certified, or currently enrolled in the Act 120 academy. (With reimbursement possibility)

Candidates must:

• Be 21 years of age or older at time of appointment

• Reside within Columbia County or a neighboring county

• Be physically and mentally fit

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalency diploma

• Possess a valid driver's license prior to hiring.

Applications must be submitted to Bloomsburg Police Department no later than 4 p.m. on September 4, 2026.  

The physical agility test is scheduled for 8 am on September 19, 2026, and the written exam is scheduled for September 19, 2026, following the physical agility test.
