The Bloomsburg Police Department is investigating an attempted child abduction of a 15-year-old female. The incident occurred in the 200 block of East 7^th Street near the Nazarene Church. The attempted abduction was reported to have occurred at approximately 2:40 pm on Monday, January 24, 2022. The actor was reported to be driving a white Dodge Caravan and was described as a black male wearing glasses, a black knit hat, and a dark puffy/down coat. The actor asked the juvenile if she wanted a puppy. At this point, the juvenile became scared and ran. The actor reportedly ran after her for a short distance.

Update:

Through police investigation, this incident has been determined to be fabricated. At this point, police will be speaking with the District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges will be filed.
