Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 176 incidents during the week of August 9th to the 15th, 2026. A total of 77 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week.
INCIDENTS
Theft Investigation: Police were contacted on August 10th, 2026, regarding a report of nearly $250,000 in funds being removed from a business account by a co-owner. The incident is under investigation by our department.
Fraud Investigation: Pennridge Regional Police spoke to a resident in the 000 block of Boulder Drive following them receiving a phone call from an unknown person identifying themselves as an employee of Wells Fargo. The caller reported to the resident that there was fraudulent activity on his account and provided the caller the requested information. The caller was able to defraud the resident of nearly $4000. Police are investigating the incident further.
Weapons Offense: On August 11th, 2026, Pennsylvania State Police contacted the department regarding an attempted purchase of a firearm from American Arms and Ammo. The person purchasing the firearm was not authorized to do so. The attempted purchase is still under investigation.
Disturbance: An employee of a business in the 000 block of E. Old State Road reported that a family member arrived at the business and entered her vehicle. An argument started and the family members refused to exit the vehicle. After a period of time and threatening to drive to police headquarters the family member exited the vehicle. Police contacted the family members and advised them to no longer visit the family member at their place of work.
Harassment Complaint: On August 11th, 2026, police were contacted by a male and female in Arkansas who were receiving harassing phone calls from a male resident of the 500 block of Callowhill Road. The male was calling and leaving offensive messages regarding an earlier social media post. The male was advised to stop contacting the couple.
Identity Theft: A resident of the 1100 block of Schwenkmill Road reported to police that an unknown party opened a credit card account in their name. The unknown party was unable to make any purchases and there was no financial loss to the resident.
Threats: On August 12th, 2026, officers were dispatched to a business in the 1800 block of Old Bethlehem Pike for a report of two males being threatened with a shotgun. Police arrived and spoke to a male who reported to be dumping yard debris and was approached by an employee of the business. The employee had a shotgun and made threatening comments to the males. The incident is currently being investigated by police.
Attempted Fraud: Police received a complaint from a resident in the 000 block of Boulder Drive regarding being extorted on a social media app. The resident reported communicating in a social media app with a female who requested money. When they refused to provide any further funds, the female threatened to post photos of the resident in a compromised position.
Disturbance: Police responded to St. Lukes Grand View for a male who was causing a disturbance in the ER waiting area. The male was unhappy about the timeliness of his medical treatment. After some brief discussion the male was finally admitted to the hospital. No police action was needed.
ARRESTS
Terroristic Threats: An 18-year-old female resident of Dublin was charged with Terroristic Threats and Harassment following her sending numerous threatening text messages to a juvenile female resident of East Rockhill Township. The female had been sending messages to the female victim for several weeks threatening to assault and even kill the female due to her dating her ex-boyfriend.
DUI Arrest: A 52-year-old male resident of East Rockhill Township was charged with driving under the influence and related charges. The male was operating a white Chevrolet pick truck on Rt. 313 where it was observed by a Pennridge Regional Police officer committing several motor vehicle code violations. When the truck was pulled over the officer observed several signs of intoxication. The driver refused to perform field sobriety tests, a portable breath test and a legal blood draw. The male was photographed and fingerprinted by police and then released.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
August 10th, 2026: Officers responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a Toyota Camry that made a left hand turn in front of a Nissan Rogue on Ridge Road from Bethlehem Pike. The Nissan Rogue also passed a stopped vehicle, playing a role in the motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, both vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.
August 12th, 2026: Police responded to a one vehicle traffic crash involving a motorcycle that left the roadway and became disabled in the ditch. The motorcycle had to be towed from the scene, and the rider was injured and transported to a hospital.
August 14th, 2026: A Harley Davidson motorcycle struck a Nissan Pathfinder as it passed a stopped vehicle on Bethlehem Pike. The Nissan was exiting a parking lot located in the 1000 block of Bethlehem Pike and was struck by the motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital for injuries, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
