Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 172 incidents during the week of March 22nd to the 28th, 2026. A total of 57 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week.
INCIDENTS
Theft and Criminal Mischief Report: Pennridge Regional Police responded to a home in the 1700 block of Tabor Road for a report of theft of a trail camera from a property along with damages caused while that theft occurred. The department is still actively investigating the incident. The damages are believed to be in amount of $500.
Suspicious Activity: A resident of the 1300 block of Ridge Road contacted police in regards to them believing their phone conversations were being illegally recorded by a contractor that they were having a civil dispute with. After a brief investigation it was found that no recordings existed. No further police action was taken.
Counterfeit Bill Investigation: Police were contacted on March 25th, 2026, by asset protection officer at Giant Supermarkets regarding an employee who cashed two $100 bills and provided the money to a customer. The store was able to identify the bills, and it was determined that the employee and customer most likely were involved in the illegal transaction. Criminal charges are pending based on the outcome of the follow-up investigation.
Disturbance Incident: Police responded to St. Lukes Grand View for a report of a disturbance in the ER on March 26th, 2026. When police arrived, it was determined that a patient had been dropped off at the crisis unit for an involuntary psychiatric hold and was now trying to leave. At the request of security and hospital staff police responded to assist with preventing the male from leaving. Police later responded back to the hospital for the patient acting out a second time. Medical treatment was provided to the male so he could no longer freely roam the ER area.
Criminal Mischief Report: On March 27th, 2026, police responded to the Tohickon Campground for a report of juveniles throwing rocks at an abandoned building on the property. Upon arrival of police, it was determined that one of three juveniles had thrown rocks at the building, breaking a pane of glass on the building. The management of the campground was not interested in pressing criminal charges and police are still attempting to identify the third involved juvenile.
Disturbance: Police were contacted by a spectator at a lacrosse game on March 28th, 2026, where a parent allegedly threatened to do harm to a referee. Upon arrival of officers, it was determined that a player was injured on the field and there was some type of disagreement resulting in the referee ejecting a parent from the spectator area. There was no problem between the parent and the referee, police left with no further involvement.
ARRESTS
Simple Assault Arrest: A 49-year-old male resident of Mohnton was charged with simple assault and related charges following an incident that occurred at a residences in the 1000 block of Old Bethlehem Pike. The male shoved a female resident causing her to suffer a broken wrist and needing medical treatment.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
March 23rd, 2026: Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and Forrest Road. Upon arrival of police, it was determined that a Ford F150 pick up truck had pulled out from the stop sign at Forrest Road onto Bethlehem Pike in front of a Subaru Legacy. The Subaru needed to be towed from the scene and the driver of the truck was cited for duties at a stop sign.
March 24th, 2026:
A Kia Sorento struck a deer as it crossed the roadway on Bethlehem Pike in the area of Mill Road. No injuries were reported and the Kia was driven from the scene.
A Chevrolet Silverado ran off the roadway and struck a tree off Forrest Road in the area of Mountain View Road. No injuries were reported and the truck had to be towed from the scene. The driver admitted to being distracted by his cellphone when the crash occurred.
