Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 188 incidents during the week of September 6^th to the 12^th, 2026.   A total of 49 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week. 

INCIDENTS

DUI Investigation: On September 6^th, 2026, a vehicle stop was performed on a Ford van that was observed speeding in a 25 MPH zone. The driver of the van exhibited signs of intoxication, and the Pennridge Regional officer asked the driver to perform field sobriety tests. The driver failed the field testing and was transported to St. Lukes Grand View for a legal blood draw. Criminal charges are pending. 

Trespassing: Officers responded to a property in the 500 block of Callowhill for a report of numerous unknown parties riding dirtbikes and four wheelers on the property. The caller had recently purchased the lot of land and was building a house. Police were able to identify the parties riding on the property and asked them to stop riding. All involved agreed to no longer do so. 

Theft Investigation: A resident of the 1000 block of Mountain View Drive contacted police regarding his credit card being used at several businesses in Lehigh County by an ex-girlfriend. The incident is still currently under investigation. 

Motor Vehicle Theft: Police were contacted by a resident of the 300 block of Clymer Road regarding a vehicle stolen from their property. The owner of the van reported that an unknown party removed a red van from the property. The incident is still under investigation. 

Theft Investigation: Police were contacted by a meat distribution company located in Bridgeview, Illinois, called Stampede Culinary. The culinary company reported that approximately $950,000 of beef had been stolen from Derstines Food Distribution on State Road in West Rockhill Township. It appears that a fraudulent transportation company collected the food from Derstines and it never reached its destination. Officers are still currently investigating. 

DUI Investigation: On September 12^th, 2026, a Pennridge Regional Police officer stopped a silver sedan for several motor vehicle violations. When the officer contacted the driver he observed signs of intoxication. The male was asked to perform field sobriety tests and failed those tests. The male driver was transported to St. Lukes Grand View for a legal blood draw. Criminal charges could be charged following the results of blood testing. 

ARRESTS

Drug Possession and DUI Investigation: A Pennridge Regional Police officer performed a vehicle stop on a gray colored sedan at the intersection of Lawn Ave. and Rt. 309. While the officer spoke with the 44-year-old male driver from Hatfield, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During the vehicle stop the male was asked perform field sobriety tests and failed the tests. When officers attempted to place the suspect into custody, the male began to fight officers. After a brief struggle the male was taken into custody and arraigned by a district magistrate, who set his bail at 10% of $20,000. He was transported to Bucks County Prison. 

Ordinance Violation: A 40-year-old resident of East Rockhill Township was cited for violating an East Rockhill Township ordinance regarding illegal burning. Police responded to the 2300 block of Muskrat Road for an ongoing issue with the male burning garbage and other items on his property. 

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS

September 7^th, 2026: Officers responded to the area of Washington Ave. and Holiday House Road for a two-vehicle traffic accident that involved a Ford pickup pulling a trailer and a Chevy pick up parked on Washington Ave. As the truck and trailer made the turn onto Holiday House Road, the trailer swung wide and struck the parked vehicle. No injuries were reported. 

September 8^th, 2026: 

A Volkswagen SUV left the roadway and struck a mailbox on Bethlehem Pike around Rt. 309. No injuries were reported.

A tractor trailer was traveling on Ridge Road, when part of its oversized load on the trailer struck a telephone pole in the area of Catch Basin Road. 

September 9^th, 2026: 

Officers responded to Ridge Valley Road in the area of Forrest Road for a HINO box truck that left the roadway and struck two driveway culverts. The truck was towed from the scene and  injuries were reported. 

A two-vehicle traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Ridge Road and Schwenkmill Road when a GMC pick up truck was struck by a Ford van that failed to stop for the stop sign on Schwenkmill Road. Minor injuries were reported, both vehicles needed to be towed, and the driver of the Ford van was cited for causing the crash. 

September 12^th, 2026: A rider of an electric scooter left the roadway on Three-Mile Run Road and struck a mailbox and then a truck parked along the roadway. No injuries were reported.
