Crime Blotter May 17th to the 23rd

Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 187 incidents during the week of May 17th to May 23rd, 2026.  A total of 47 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week. 

INCIDENTS

DUI Investigation: On May 17th, 2026, a vehicle stop was performed on a Nissan sedan for not having illuminated headlights. The vehicle stop occurred in 2000 block of Ridge Road and during the contact between the police and the driver signs of intoxication were observed. After completion of field sobriety tests, the driver was taken to St. Lukes Grand View for a blood draw to determine the level of intoxicating substances in the driver’s blood. 

Weapons Offense Investigation: The Pennridge Regional Police Department were contacted by Pennsylvania State Police for a report of a male attempting to purchase a firearm earlier in the year at American Arms & Ammo, when he was not permitted to do so. At completion of the investigation the male was issued a warning for his attempted purchase at the direction of the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. 

Suspicious Activity: Police were contacted by a business located in the 3200 block of Meetinghouse Road for a male and female observed by employees driving in the parking lot, looing into several bins containing scrap metal. The employees believed this to be suspicious and contacted police. The vehicle was a white pickup truck with a black ladder rack. 

Attempted Fraud: On May 19th, 2026, police were contacted by a resident of the 000 block of Ridge Run Road who reported they received a phone call from an unknown male who identified themselves as an “enforcement officer.” The “enforcement officer” told the resident that they owed money for a purchase they had made in New York in the last few weeks. The resident recognized this to be fraud so no lost in finances occurred. 

Attempted Fraud: Police were contacted by a resident of the 300 block of Catch Basin Road for a resident who received a text message from an unknown number. The unknown caller encouraged the resident to pay money for several “fines” that were not paid to Penndot. No money was lost and the resident recognized the text as fraudulent. 

Assault Investigation: Police responded to St. Lukes Penn Foundation for a report of two patients having a physical altercation. Upon arrival of police, it was determined that two males had a physical altercation over their place in line for food. Both parties did not want any further involvement by the police. 

Criminal Mischief: Police responded to an open field located in the 2300 block of Branch Road for a large SUV that was seen damaging the field by doing donuts. The driver was identified and was issued a traffic citation for trespassing with a motor vehicle. No criminal charges were filed at the request of the property owner. 

Disturbance: Police responded to St. Lukes Grand View for a report of a male who was causing a disturbance in the Crisis Area of the Emergency Room. Upon arrival of police the male was found to no longer be causing a disturbance. The male had received a medicine that calmed him and no further police action was needed. 

Theft: Police were contacted by an employee of Draeger Medical regarding several pieces of equipment that were purchased by a company located in Illinois. The equipment is valued at nearly $13,000. The investigation is ongoing. 

Theft: On May 22nd, 2026, police were contacted by a resident of the 2600 block of Schukraft Road for a theft of camera equipment. The caller reported that they had purchased camera equipment from an online auction site for the amount of approximately $1300. The equipment was “delivered” but the package was not found at the home. Police were able to assist the resident in receiving a refund from the auction site. 

Criminal Mischief: Pennridge Regional Police responded to a property located in the 500 block of Callowhill Road for a report of damage to a camper. The camper had a broken window, and it appeared that the camper was damaged with a stone. The window is valued at $300. 

ARRESTS

Trespassing/Drug Arrest: On May 18th, 2026, police responded to the M&M Quarry, 2800 block of Clymer Road, for a report of several males that entered the quarry by climbing through the fence. Upon arrival of police six males were found inside the quarry swimming, without permission of the owners. During the police interaction marijuana was found in the belongings of the males. As a result, a 20-year-old male form Philadelphia, two 19-year-old males from Philadelphia, a 19-year-old male from Bensalem, and a 21-year-old male from Philadelphia were cited for trespassing. The sixth male, a 19-year-old from Philadelphia was charged with possession of marijuana and trespassing. 

DUI Arrest: A 22-year-old male from Lower Southampton was charged with DUI and other related charges following a vehicle stop that occurred on April 24th, 2026. The vehicle, a Corvette, was stopped by police on Rt. 309 between State Road and was travelling at a high rate of speed. The driver exhibited signs of intoxication and was transported to St. Lukes Grand View for a blood draw. The results of that blood draw showed the presence of alcohol and marijuana metabolites in the blood. 

Distribution of Sexually Explicit Material: A juvenile allegation was filed with the Bucks County Juvenile Probation Office following an investigation of a juvenile making photographs of a sexually explicit manner and sending them via Snapchat to other juveniles. 

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS

May 18th, 2026: A two-vehicle traffic accident occurred on Ridge Road at Goldmine Road and upon investigation it was determined that a Hyundai Kona had rearended a Nissan that had stopped in the roadway due to a cyclist that was traveling on the roadway. No injuries were reported but the Hyundai was towed from the scene. 

May 19th, 2026: A Subaru Forrester failed to stop at the red traffic signal at the intersection of Rt. 309 off ramp to Lawn Ave. and struck a Toyota that was traveling on Lawn Ave. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene, and injuries were reported by both drives. 

May 20th, 2026: A minor two vehicle hit and run crash occurred on Rt. 313 and Ridge Road when a vehicle passed other vehicles on the shoulder and struck a Dodge Challenger making a left-hand turn onto Ridge Road. No injuries were reported and minor damage was observed. 

May 21st. 2026: 

A minor two vehicle traffic accident occurred in the parking lot of the Pennridge High School when a Honda CRV backed into a parking spot and struck a parked Jeep Grand Cherokee. Minor damage occurred. 

Police responded to the area of Forrest Road and Old Mill Road for tri axle dump truck that drove off the roadway and struck a tree. The driver of the truck was trapped inside and needed to be extricated by fire department. The drive sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital. 

May 22nd, 2026: 

A BMW and a school bus collided in the 100 block of Ridge Ave when the BMW made a wide turn and struck the bus. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene. 

A Pontiac Grand Am rearended a Dodge Caravan at the stop sign on Sterner Mill Road and Rt. 313, as the Caravan waited to make a turn onto Rt. 313. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
