Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 168 incidents during the week of March 1st to March 7th, 2026. A total of 84 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week.
INCIDENTS
Fraud: Police spoke with a resident of the 000 block of Hillendale Road on March 2nd, 2026, regarding a phone call they received from someone identifying themselves as a member of the Bucks County Sheriff's Office. The caller told the resident that they needed to pay fines to revoke an arrest warrant that had been filed against them. The resident was instructed to withdraw $800 in cash from their bank and then make a bitcoin transfer at a local gas station. Unfortunately, the resident paid the “fine” in bitcoin and the money was not recovered.
Weapons Offense: Pennridge Regional Police were contacted by the Pennsylvania State Police regarding an attempted illegal purchase of a firearm at American Arms and Ammo. The incident is still under investigation.
Simple Assault Investigation: On March 5th, 2026, police were dispatched to a domestic incident occurring in a vehicle along Ridge Road and Schwenkmill Road. Police arrived in the area and determined that the incident had ended at a home located in the 1000 block of Old Bethlehem Road. After several phone calls and follow up investigation it was determined that male and female callers had both struck each other and neither were willing to cooperate with the investigation.
Disturbance: Officers responded to St. Lukes Grand View for a report of a patient who had threatened numerous employees during their treatment. The patient’s behavior continued to escalate and at one point a medical decision was made to sedate the patient. As this was being done the patient spit on a security officer. The hospital staff are assisting the police department in the investigation.
Attempted Fraud: A resident of the 200 block of Farmers Lane contacted police to report suspicious text messages they had received that indicated the resident owed money to Penndot. The resident continued that they recognized that the messages were a scam and did not provide any money or financial information.
Attempted Fraud: Police responded to Landis Supermarkets for a report of a delivery vehicle on scene that was attempting to deliver $34,000 worth of paper goods to the facility. Once police arrived it was determined that the delivery attempt was an attempt to defraud Landis Supermarkets. Landis management were able to quickly identify this as a scam and did not accept the delivery.
Disturbance: On March 6th, 2026, officers were dispatched to St. Lukes Grand View for a 911 call where security reported a male had locked himself in a restroom in the ICU and was threatening to harm himself. The male was able to be safely removed from the restroom by security and was secured for transport to another medical facility.
Theft: Police responded to a property located in the 2100 block of Cedar Hollow Road for a report of a stolen trail camera. The homeowner reported that an unknown male was trespassing on his property to the rear of the Homestead Campground and removed a trail camera. Before the trail camera was removed a description of the suspected offender was taken. Police were notified by neighbors that the male most likely frequented the campground. With the help of the community and the investigation of the responding officer the camera was returned. Charges are pending.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
March 2nd, 2026: Officers responded to the parking lot of Derstine Foods, 3245 State Road, for a Volvo truck that struck a Freightliner that was at the unloading dock at the business.
March 4th, 2026:
A two-vehicle traffic accident occurred when a Honda Accord turned in front of a BMW as it traveled on Old Bethlehem Pike. Minor injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Officers responded to Bethlehem Pike and State Road for a three-vehicle traffic crash involving a Chevrolet Silverado that struck a Chrysler minivan while it was stopped at the traffic signal. After being stuck by the Silverado, the minivan struck a GMC Canyon pickup truck that stopped in front of it. Minor injuries were reported and all three vehicles were driven from the scene.
March 5th, 2026: A Jeep Cherokee and a Jeep Wrangler collided at the intersection of State Road and Keystone Drive, as the Wrangler made a left hand turn from Keystone Drive. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and no injuries were reported.
March 6th, 2026: A two-vehicle traffic accident occurred in the intersection of Lawn Ave. and Ridge Road when a Ford Explorer turned left in front of Toyota Sienna that was continuing straight on Lawn Ave. No injuries were reported and the Ford had to be towed from the scene.
March 7th, 2026:
Officers responded to the parking lot of Success Rehabilitation for a minor two vehicle traffic crash involving a Honda Pilot struck a Lexus SUV as it backed into a parking spot. Minor damage was reported to the vehicles.
A Honda and Subaru crashed on State Road in the area of East Old State Road as the Honda attempted a left hand turn from the right lane striking the Honda that was passing the Subaru in the left lane. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven away from the scene.
