Crime Blotter July 26th, to August 1st, 2026

Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 150 incidents during the week of July 26th, to August 1st, 2026.   A total of 43 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week. 

INCIDENTS

Drug Investigation: Officers were contacted by a citizen regarding a purse being found along the roadway. Officers involved were able to identify owner of the purse and while doing so illegal drug contraband was found in the purse. Criminal charges are pending. 

Fraud Investigation: Police responded to a residence in the 000 block of Ridge Run Road for a report of a resident who was contacted by someone identifying themselves as a member of the Bucks County Sheriffs. The caller had persuaded the resident to transfer funds to them in the form of crypto currency. The resident is believed to have lost an estimated $12,500 in the scam. Police are actively investigating. 

Disturbance: On July 28th, 2026, officers responded to the parking lot of the Landis Supermarket on County Line Road. Upon arrival of officers, they met with a male who reported he was being chased by his ex-girlfriend’s parents and that the person was armed with a gun. Officers investigated the incident and were unable to locate anyone who observed the disturbance or a firearm. Both parties were instructed to leave each other alone. No charges were filed. 

Suspicious Person: Police responded to a business located in the 400 block of Callowhill Road for a male who continually asked to use the phone in the business. Upon police arrival the male had left the area. Police attempted to locate the male to advise him he was no longer allowed at the business. No contact could be made. 

Identity Theft: Pennridge Regional Police were contacted by a resident of the 900 block of Pine Court regarding an unknown party opening a T-Mobile account in their name. The caller was able to stop the transaction and was refunded the money. 

Disturbance/Unwanted Person: On January 30th, 2026, police responded to St. Lukes Grand View for a report of a male who was refusing to leave the ER. When police arrived, they learned the male was continually entering the ER but was not requesting any medical treatment. The male was ultimately transported home by officers. 

DUI Investigation: On August 1st, 2026, a Pennridge Regional Police Officer observed a gray SUV traveling northbound on Bethlehem Pike commit several vehicle code infractions. A vehicle stop was performed on the vehicle and signs of intoxication were observed from the driver. The driver was taken into custody, and a blood draw was conducted at St. Lukes Penn Foundation. Criminal charges could be filed upon receipt of blood testing. 

ARRESTS

Simple Assault: A 44-year-old male resident of Perkasie was charged with Simple Assault and related charges following a police response to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Rt. 309 overpass and State Road. During the investigation it was determined that a road rage incident had occurred between the two drivers. The driver of a green vehicle intentionally swerved and struck the motorcycle causing the rider to crash. The green vehicle left the scene but upon investigation was located and later charged for intentionally striking the motorcycle. 

TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS

July 27th, 2026: Officers responded to Bethlehem Pike and State Road for a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a Toyota Corolla and a Mazda MX-5. The Mazda was stopped at the traffic light when the Toyota rearended the Mazda. Minor damage occurred to both vehicles. 

July 31st, 2026: 

A Cadillac and a Chevrolet Colorado collided on Allentown Road in the area of Camp Rockhill Road. Both drivers were unable to provide clear explanations of what occurred. Minor injuries were reported and both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. 

A two-vehicle traffic crash occurred at the intersection of Dublin Pike and N. Fifth Street, when a Yamaha Motorcycle was passing other vehicles on the shoulder, and was struck by a Ford Escape making a left hand turn into a parking lot. 

August 1st, 2026: 

A three-vehicle traffic crash occurred on Bethlehem Pike and Ridge Road. Upon arrival of officers, it was determined that a Chevrolet pick up turned in front of a Volvo XC70. After impacting the Volvo, the Chevrolet spun and struck an Audi Q5 that was stopped at the intersection. Minor injuries were reported and the Volvo had to be towed from the scene. 

Officers responded to Bethlehem Pike and State Road for a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a Suzuki Motorcycle and a Toyota Avalon. The motorcycle rearended the Toyota as it stopped for a traffic light at the intersection. Minor injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
