Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 221 incidents during the week of April 27th to May 3rd, 2025. A total of 92 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week.
INCIDENTS
Retail Theft Investigation: Pennridge Regional Police officers responded to Giant Supermarkets, 1100 block of Fifth Street, for a report of two male juveniles who entered the store and attempted to remove food items from the store. The juveniles were stopped by store staff and paid for the items they attempted to remove. Police are working with Pennridge School Police to identify the juveniles involved.
Unwanted Person: Officers were requested to assist Grand View Hospital for a report of a patient who refused medical treatment and was refusing to leave the hospital. Upon arrival of officers, it was determined that the patient was refusing medical care but was obviously in need of treatment. After several conversations the patient was returned to the ER.
Theft Report: Officers spoke with a resident of the 1400 block of Schoolhouse Road on April 29th, 2025, regarding two packages that were removed from their front porch after delivery. The packages, valued at nearly $650, were reported to be delivered by Amazon, but the resident never received them.
Ordinance Violation: A resident of the 5400 block of Clymer Road contacted police on April 29th and May 1st regarding a neighbor having a fire in a fire pit behind their home. Upon arrival of the police, on both occasions, the officer determined that no violations of the East Rockhill ordinance were occurring.
Suspicious Activity: On May 2nd, 2025, officers from Pennridge Regional and Perkasie Borough Police responded to the area of Glenwood Shopping Center for a report of a black male chasing several juveniles. It is unclear why the male was chasing the juveniles, Pennridge Regional Police are still actively investigating the incident.
Trespassing/Burglary: Pennridge Regional Police spoke to a resident in the 200 block of Branch Road who reported that on May 2nd, 2025, an unknown actor entered their open garage. The actor, who appears to be a male wearing long pants and a hooded sweatshirt is caught on a security camera entering the garage and looking around with a flashlight. Nothing was taken and the actor never touches or moves anything.
ARRESTS INCIDENTS
DUI Arrest: A 23-year-old female from Perkasie was charged with driving under the influence and related charges following a traffic stop on April 13th, 2025. The female was stopped by a Pennridge Regional officer after she failed to stop at a properly posted stop sign at the intersection of Old Bethlehem Pike and Ridge Road. Upon further investigation the female failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a blood draw.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
April 26th, 2025: Officers responded to the area of State Road and Main Street for a report of a traffic accident involving a Jeep Cherokee and a Dodge Caravan. Upon investigation it was determined that the Jeep had attempted to go around the Dodge Caravan on the shoulder as it turned right. No injuries were reported.
April 29th, 2025: A two-vehicle traffic accident involving a Kia Sportage and an Audi Q8 was reported on Ridge Valley Road and Tower Road. Upon arrival of officers, it was determined that the Kia had entered the roadway from the stop sign on Tower Road and collided with the Audi. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
April 29th, 2025: A Subaru Legacy was traveling on Forrest Road in the area of the Rt. 309 overpass, when it ran off the roadway into the ditch and struck a large boulder on the other side of a driveway. Minor injuries occurred to the driver and the Subaru had to be towed from the scene.
April 30th, 2025: Pennridge Regional Officers responded to the area of Ridge Road and Old Bethlehem Pike for a motor vehicle crash involving a Dodge Ram that rearended a Nissan Altima. The Ram struck the Nissan after it had to stop for a vehicle that pulled out in front of it onto Ridge Road. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
May 1st, 2025: A two-vehicle traffic accident was reported in the parking of Ridge Crest Pediatrics involving a Dodge Caravan that backed into a Hyundai. No injuries were reported.
