Pennridge Regional Police Officers handled 177 incidents during the week of January 18th to the 24th, 2026. A total of 22 traffic citations and warnings were issued during the same week.
INCIDENTS
Disturbance: Officers responded to an apartment located above the Horse Tavern on January 18th, 2026 for a report of a neighbors arguing over banging on the shared walls. Both were advised to stay away from each other and stop banging on the wall.
Drug Incident: On January 19th, 2026, officers responded to Grand View Hospital for a report of a male patient who was found to be in possession of alleged narcotics while receiving medical care. The drugs were seized.
Suspicious Activity/Fraud: Officers spoke with a resident of the 0 block of Winterberry Drive regarding an account that was opened by an unknown person at a Verizon store. The account added a new line to an account of New York but listed the residents’ information. Police documented the incident for the residents at their request.
Trespassing Complaint: A resident of the 2500 block of Allentown Road reported that there were several snowmobiles riding on their property and crossing their frozen pond. Police were unable to locate the snowmobiles.
DUI Crash Investigation: Police responded to the parking lot of Glenwood Shopping Center for a minor two vehicle traffic accident in the parking lot. During the course of the police investigation, it was determined that the driver of the offending vehicle was exhibiting signs of intoxication. The male driver was transported to St. Lukes Grand View of blood draw. Charges are pending the results of that blood testing.
Suspicious Activity: While on patrol an officer located a gold Honda parked along the roadway in the 7200 block of Richlandtown Pike. The vehicle was parked in a manner where the vehicle was blocking the roadway. While investigating the vehicle a male exited the woods and explained he was looking for “deer sheds.” The officer was able to identify the male and he was released. Based on the information presented, the officer followed the footprints into the woods where they located potentially stolen fiber optic cable. Police are still investigating.
DUI Investigation: On January 24th, 2026, a vehicle stop was performed on a blue Ford Bronco while it was traveling in the 2000 block of Ridge Road. During the course of the vehicle stop it was determined that the driver was exhibiting signs of intoxication and was asked to perform field sobriety tests. The driver failed those tests and was transported to St. Lukes Grand View for a blood draw. Charges are pending the results of those tests.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
January 18th, 2026:
A Jeep Wrangler rearended a Subaru as it was stopped on Rt. 313 waiting to turn left onto Mountain View Drive. No injuries were reported. The roadway was snow covered and slushy when the crash occurred.
A Subaru Forrester slid off the roadway and struck a tree at the intersection of Carillon Hill Road and Township Road. Minor injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the crash.
Officers responded to Woodspring Circle and Clymer Road for a Jeep Compass that slid off the snow-covered roadway and struck the curb. No injuries were reported but the vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
A one vehicle traffic accident involving a Toyota Corolla that ran off the roadway, striking a street sign and a telephone pole. No injuries were reported and the vehicle had to be driven from the scene.
A Toyota Tacoma slid off the icy roadway and into the ditch on County Line Road on one of the large hills. No injuries were reported.
A Nissan Sentra slid off the roadway striking a telephone pole in the 500 block of Schwenkmill Road after sliding down the hill due to icy road conditions. No injuries occurred.
January 20th, 2026:
A Chevrolet Traverse and a Trailblazer collided on Fifth Street and Campus Drive, when the Traverse hit the Trailblazer that was stopped at the traffic signal waiting at the red traffic signal. No injuries were reported.
A Volkswagen Jetta and a Subaru Forrester collided on the off ramp from 309 northbound to State Road when the Jetta rearended the Forrester. Only minor damage occurred and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
A two-vehicle traffic accident took place at the intersection of Ridge Road and Schwenkmill Road, when a Lexus sedan pulled out in front of a Ford Focus from the stop sign. No injuries occurred but both vehicles had to be driven from the scene.
