Last week Ofc. Rosenfeld, Windfelder and Det. Dean were in attendance for the adoption ceremony of one of the seven children that were removed from their family trailer. The deplorable living conditions at the Green Top Mobile Home Park in West Rockhill were discovered in April 2023 when our officers received a report of two children taking items from an abandoned trailer. When officers arrived, they found children, one barefoot and the other with dirty and ill-fitting clothing, who had entered the abandoned trailer. The children said they entered the trailer to get a blanket to keep their rats warm since their parents had no money. Officers later found five more children living in the deplorable family trailer.

Ofc. Rosenfeld and Windfelder contacted Bucks County Children and Youth and the children all received medical care and were placed with other families. Det. Richard Dean conducted the criminal resulting in a successful criminal prosecution with the Bucks County District Attorney office. 

To date all of the seven children have been adopted. This is a great outcome that our officers will never forget.
