On July 20th 2021 Pennridge Regional Police responded Schwenkmill Road and Branch Road for a report of a distraught male running along Branch Road. Officer’s encountered Matthew Cooper who relayed that he was trying to find his girlfriend who he believed was kidnapped. Further investigation found that Matthew Cooper’s girlfriend was safe and pursuant to a search drug paraphernalia was found on Matthew Cooper. Charges were filed.
Later that night Pennridge Regional Police located Matthew Cooper walking in the woods along the same area as earlier in the day. Matthew Cooper was moving firewood in the woods with the intention of camping and then fishing throughout the night. During the course of the investigation methamphetamines and more drug paraphernalia was found on his person and in his belongings. Charges were filed against Cooper.
