02/10/2022 at 2200 hours – Officers witnessed a vehicle in the area of South Main Street without a functioning rear lighting system.  The 37-year-old male driver of New Hope had difficulty attempting to put down the window upon the officer’s approach.  The passenger opened the door and the officer immediately detected the strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle.  The male driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.
