On 02/04/2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., New Hope Borough Police Officers responded to West Ferry Street at Stockton Avenue for a vehicle stuck approximately 15 feet south on the railroad tracks. The driver, a 27 year-old female from Middletown, NJ, stated she thought she was turning into a parking lot. Based on an investigation, the officers formed the opinion the driver was operating her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs to a degree which rendered her incapable of safely driving. She was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Controlled Substance.
