On 03-27-2022 at 2:06am A New Hope Police officer was on foot patrol on South Main Street. The officer observed the staff at a South Main Street restaurant escort a subject out of the restaurant. The officer observed the male as he staggered down the street towards Coryell Street. The officer followed the subject to ascertain if he was able to take care of himself. The subject stopped in front of a store, took off his shoes and threw them at the front window. The officer stopped the subject identified him and determined he was so intoxicated that he should not be on his own. The male subject advised the officer that he was awaiting a LYFT ride. This was confirmed and the subject was joined by three other friends. The LYFT was arriving so the officer let his friends take custody of him and they left. The male will be sent a summons for disorderly conduct
